Homemade Liqueurs

Kahlua

Ingredients:

4 cups Water 
1 1/2 cups Folgers instant coffee crystals 
4 1/2 cups 100 proof vodka 
8 cups Sugar 
2 Vanilla beans 

Directions:

1) Mix water, sugar and coffee crystals. 
2) Heat and stir until dissolved. 
3) Cool until the mixture is room temperature. 
4) Add vodka. 
5) Pour mixture into 4 bottles. 
6) Cut vanilla bean in half lengthwise and drop half a 
bean into each bottle. 
7) Cap. 
8) After 2 weeks strain the mixture, remove bean and rebottle. 

Note: If regular coffee keeps you awake nights; make with 
decaffeinated.
